FOX News Channel Banned at Michigan Medical Center

When I first heard a story that Fox News was being banned in a Michigan hospital waiting room I thought that it was probably just making a big deal about nothing. Plenty of waiting rooms have the TV's tuned to other stations besides FOX News. Just change the channel, I thought. What's the problem?

As it turns out, the problem was that patients were indeed changing the channel to FOX News. And the staff didn't like it. That's because the staff, mostly being
ObamaCare supporters, didn't like the way that FOX News reported news about Obamacare (The Affordable Health Care Act).

According to an employee at Family Health Care, at least one board member complained loud enough about the 'problem' to cause the president of the company to ban the viewing FOX News channel by blocking it from the the cable feed altogether. The only cable news that's now available is CNN - a news network that the president of Family Health Care sees as more positive in their reporting on The Affordable Care Act.

The story did not sit well with FOX NEWS radio host, Todd Starnes, who decided to write an entire column about the incident. He denounced the actions of the president and the the board of Family Health Center as "almost impossible to believe."

He went on to say, " Surely, there must have been some sort of misunderstanding. What could possibly be so offensive about Fox News? I mean sure, Bob Beckel is known to use a few “colorful metaphors,” but he’s just a lovable curmudgeon. And who doesn't love the Factor Word of the Day? We are a pithier nation because of the No Spin Zone."
